Drag queens on the NY Jets cheerleading sqaud?

You read it right!  Maybe it's time we grabbed our pompoms and headed down for auditions on May 17th!

The New York Jets Flight Crew, the official cheerleaders for the NY Jets, is known for fabulously attractive women but can the ranks be broken by an equally fabulous drag queen?  According to Denise Garvey, choreographer for the Flight Crew, the answer is yes. 

In a radio interview she was open to the idea as long as he was attractive enough.

GARVEY: We don't have any strict requirements - no weight or height requirements - we have all different girls on the team and all different girls looking to try out..."

REPORTER: There's not the kind of human variety you might find in a supermarket checkout line - the largest body is about a size "6″ -and there are no male cheerleader wannabe's.

GARVEY: we haven't had any men apply... we are looking for young women.

REPORTER: If there was a mind blowing drag queen?

GARVEY: I guess everyone deserves a fair chance - so that would be my attitude.

So boys, I think it's time to practice our cheers before heading out to audition.  I believe the best cheer from one of the greatest movies ever made, Bring It On, says it best:

I'm bitchin', great hair,  The boys all love to stare, 

I'm wanted, I'm hot,  I'm everything you're not

I'm rockin', I smile, and many think I'm vile,
