San Francisco Bay Area Television Archives
If you need images pertaining to the Bay Area between 1955 and 1980,
then this archive at San Francisco State University is the place to go.
That is, if you can get access. This site summarizes its collection yet,
most of it is listed as "unavailable" until the near future. Their
holdings of PBS- and CBS-affiliated collections are perhaps their most
significant. The local news footage they have "consists of unedited
outtakes and trims, rather than completed programs" so, be aware.

Operating as an image production service, for a fee this archive can
send you any American national TV newscast, or part thereof, since August
5, 1968. Whitewater, Watergate, Nightline reports can be yours. They
also produce a newsletter.
