Millennium March Affiliated Events

The Millennium March on Washington for Equality will take place Sunday, April 30, 2000, at the National Mall and will be the fourth national march for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender civil rights. It promises to be one of the largest and most powerful civil rights demonstrations in recent history, drawing hundreds of thousands of GLBT individuals and organizations and our allies.

In addition to the scheduled March and Rally on Sunday, the weekend will also feature hundreds of other affiliated political and social events and activities, including a two-day street festival, conferences, meetings, demonstrations and protests, dances, dinners, concerts, and the GLBT Vote 2000 voter registration drive.

Millennium March affiliated events and activities that are currently planned include the Millennium Festival, "PFLAG: Family Voices for Equality" the national conference of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), the Millennium March's national dinner, "The Wedding: Now More Than Ever," and "Equality Rocks."
