Call For Millennium March On Washington Rally Speakers

Who do you want to hear? The Millennium March on Washington for Equality wants to hear from you. Let them know who you would like to hear speak at the March Rally, which will be part of the Millennium March, scheduled for April 30, 2000.

The gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities are being asked to assist the producers, organizers, and board of the Millennium March by nominating individuals to speak at the Rally. It's yet another way for people from all over the country to provide input and help shape this historic march.

People are encouraged to dream big and nominate individuals who will be rousing, moving, and empowering to them personally; and to encourage their friends and family to nominate prospective speakers as well. Nominations can run the gamutÑfrom local heroes to celebrities, parents to poets, athletes to activistsÑanyone who will provide inspiration during the fourth national march for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender civil rights.

So come lend a helping hand by telling the Millennium March who you think should be given the unique honor and privilege of addressing the throngs of March-goers who show up in DC this April. The Millennium March is counting on you to give them the names of the speakers who will deliver the great inspirational messages that are heard at this historic gathering in our nation's capitol.

Nominations should include a brief description of the person and contact information for both the person nominating and the person or persons being nominated. The nominations must include a full name, address, and phone number for verification.
