Sarah Palin's Memoir Penned by Homophobic Writer

As if you needed another reason to be sorry you ever heard of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, The Advocate reports that the coauthor of Palin's forthcoming memoir, Going Rogue, is a known "fanatical homophobe," according to political bloggers. Adding injury to a thoroughly insulting circumstance, the man behind publisher HarperCollins’s marketing is an out gay man. Not a pretty picture to proponents of equality.

Sarah Palin's soon-to-be-released memoir was mostly written by Lynn Vincent, a woman blogger Andrew Sullivan calls a "fanatical homophobe."

In his blog on TheAtlantic.com, Sullivan pulls quotes from pieces Vincent wrote for Christian publications that declared gay people have trampled on the constitutional rights of free speech by pushing for marriage equality. Vincent also apparently believes that in years past people routinely "brushed off fleeting thoughts of homosexual behavior," but gay activists have encouraged people to follow those thoughts with "exploration and action."

The outspoken gay blogger and pundit also takes umbrage with Jonathan Burnham, who does marketing for HarperCollins, the publisher of Palin's book, expected in spring 2010. Sullivan writes, "Jonathan Burnham -- wait for it -- is an openly gay man....  As gay people prepare to march for their civil rights, Burnham, one of the more powerful gay men in New York, is preparing to capitalize on their avowed enemies. It's just money, after all."

Tell us: What do you do to counter repeated closed-minded attacks from conservatives? How do you defuse, disagree, reject, boycott, protest, educate, listen, engage, etc?

I would suggest the formation of a private group who would closely examine the private (secret) lives of these homophobes and when the obviuous is found, do an expose' simialar to "Outrage." Expose them and hypocricy of the righteous right when their closets are found to be full of dirty laundry. It would end a lot of the rock-throwing.

How often do we find the biggest homophobes are the worst closet cases, hiding their true sexual identities behind the cloak of religion? If they are truely straight, how many of them are divorced or unfaithfully sleeping around with fellow heteros or (gasp) same-sex affairs? It may be surprising. Some would call this dirty plolitics, but don't they play dirty? Turnabout is fair play. Your opinions, please?

So Vincent just brushed off his fleeting thoughts, huh?
And yet it seems, thou dost protest too much.

If they were brushed off, why does he care so much about this topic?

I am glad I live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. CANADA. Perhaps it is time we invaded the united states to free them from their violent terrorist theocratic oppressors.

You know what? Who CARES who or what the co-author of her book is or isn't. Just as Obama's minister Rev Wrong is racist as hell and Obama isn't being judged on that, Sarah Palin shouldn't be judged by a co-author of her book. And what is with the question posed at the end? Trust, I have seen far left liberals who are just as hateful and narrow-minded as any conservate I have ever encountered. How about you ask the question, "What do you do to counter repeated closed-minded attacks from liberals?", because I encounter those on a daily basis!
