Gay TV on a Monday Night: ‘Gossip Girl’ Threesome
Start the night right in the seasoned hands of NPH on CBS at 8 o’clock. In tonight's episode of How I Met Your Mother, it's more relationship hurdles for relationship newbies Barney (NPH) and Robin (Cobie Smulders). It's a fair question we've all faced in a happy, committed relationship: Are we getting fat? The season of nonstop Canadian jokes continues when Alan Thicke pops up as a fellow-Canadian celeb pal of Robin’s.
Get ready for a big bomb if you're a Gossip Girl fan. Tonight's new episode, at 9 on the CW, features a mystery threesome! Much to the chagrin of parents’ groups, the ménage à trois will air as promised. The network is attempting to up the anticipation by keeping the participants a mystery, and we're certainly hoping it will be a dude-girl-dude situation ... preferably starring Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick). Our money is on a Dan (Penn Badgley), Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), and Olivia (Hilary Duff) sandwich, though. Tune in tonight to find out.
At 10, if you're tired of the usual reality formula, try something a little more quaint with Rita Rocks on Lifetime. Not only is it fun to see Tisha Campbell-Martin on TV again (what? I watched Martin), but tonight's episode guest-stars the unmatched Swoosie Kurtz (Sisters, Pushing Daisies) as Rita's (MadTV's golden girl Nicole Sullivan) superstrict mom.
At the same hour, Bravo's back with another new episode of Million Dollar Listing. Tonight the boys go up against each other once again when Chad steals a listing right out from under our favorite man, Madison. Chad, who as he loves to remind us: is from the 'Bu, chalks it up to better business, but we wonder if Madison will agree.
For the late-night round, check in with The Jay Leno Show on NBC at 10 for some seriously funny women. Super screenwriter girl Diablo Cody is a guest, and Kathy Griffin tweeted that she slipped in tonight to replace Dane Cook. But the biggest news in late night tonight is the series premiere of a new offering from TBS: Lopez Tonight, hosted by popular comedian George Lopez. For his inaugural episode, he'll welcome a bevy of stars including Eva Longoria-Parker, Kobe Bryant, the legendary music of Carlos Santana, and America's favorite lesbian, Ellen DeGeneres. Not a bad way to start the series!
Tell us: What late-night shows do you like? Did the Gossip Girl three-way excite you?
