Gay TV on a Monday Night: Big ‘Heroes’ & ‘Greek’

Say goodbye to October and hello to the holidays. November has only just begun, and the Christmas decorations are already displayed for sale. Oy vey. If you celebrated the Halloween weekend right, you should have some serious sugar (or otherwise...) hangover remnants tonight. Take up residence on the couch and turn on the television, because your favorite shows are back with new episodes this week. Start off strong with How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris, catch the season capper of Greek, and stay up late with fantastic late-night guests like Mariah Carey, Scott Wolf, and Tegan and Sara, oh my! All that and more on a plain old Monday night. Tune in, then talk about what you watch with other readers.

At 8 p.m. on a new How I Met Your Mother on CBS, one of the funniest men in prime time, who happens to be gay and hot, Neil Patrick Harris, has a problem. His character, Barney, knows it all when it comes to hooking up with women, but he's not as learned in loving relationships.

Hiro & Charlie Kiss In the same hour on NBC, it's a big night for Heroes fans when Hiro (Masi Oka) gets a chance to save his long-lost waitress love, Charlie, from the evil -- but arrestingly hot -- Sylar (Zachary Quinto) one more time in the past. Glee's Jayma Mays returns to reprise her role as Burnt Toast waitress Charlie. Though some fans have fallen off the Heroes wagon, the heartwarming reunion of these two adorable characters is worth watching. Oka said, "This was one of my favorite episodes of the series. I had the opportunity to explore the many layers of Hiro. It was truly wonderful working with Jayma again, and I even got to play against a younger me. Ah, how naive we were. It's an episode full of joy and tears.... This scene is where Hiro finally gets his long-awaited kiss. His dream upon the thousand cranes, the origami in his left hand, came true. But is there a happy ending? It's Heroes, after all. I hope you enjoy watching the episode as much as I had making it. Thank you!"

Next at 9, check in with your favorite fictional New York snobs on Gossip Girl. Hilary Duff's character, Olivia, gets in trouble with Dan (Penn Badgley) over something she says on a late-night talk show appearance and Blair (Leighton Meester) tries to make Serena (Blake Lively) jealous with a new BFF. When did Waldorf get so desperate for attention? Somebody recharge that girl’s headband of power, stat.

Also at 9, the season of Greek goes out with a big bang on ABC Family. Fans finally find out if Cappie (Scott Michael Foster) and Casey (Spencer Grammer) will give it another go, plus a High School Musical alum, Olesya Rulin, pledges ZBZ and helps them compete in SongFest. And as for Calvin (Paul James) and Grant (Gregory Michael) ...?

At 10 on Bravo it’s another new episode of Million Dollar Listing. Madison is on the hunt for a winning property to invest in, and he’s also trying to avoid Chad. But as we've seen in seasons past, the high-end real estate market can be a very small world! Plus Chad inches closer to asking his love, Victoria, the big question.

In the late-night lineup, you may want to watch The Jay Leno Show on NBC at 10 for a change. Diva alert: Mariah Carey will be in the house to chat (and sing?), plus there’s a performance from Cirque du Soleil's hot new show, Kooza. Then, after the local news, at 11:35 Conan O'Brien has gorgeous and gifted Men Who Stare at Goats star Ewan McGregor and a performance from the indie queens, Canadian pop-folk superstars Tegan and Sara on The Tonight Show. Stick around for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and you get the cutest country superstar ever, Taylor Swift, former Party of Five brother Scott Wolf talking about his new show, V, and a performance by L.A. pop-punk band Say Anything.

Bonus: Keep your eyes on AMC for a look at The Prisoner: A Preview before the November 15 start of the three-night television event starring Sir Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel, with Jamie Campbell Bower (from Twilight: New Moon), in the remake of cult classic The Prisoner.
